Job Description

One of our best clients, one of the Global Big 4 companies, is driving an ambitious Digital Transformation (DX) initiative across its business operations. They are seeking a highly motivated Digital / Generative AI professional to play a key role in transforming processes through advanced digital tools, RPA, and AI technologies.

You will partner with internal stakeholders, project managers, and engineers to design and implement innovative solutions that improve efficiency and enable new business opportunities. While hands-on engineering is not the primary focus, you will be expected to bridge the gap between business and technology, and to grow into a Business Analyst (BA) / Project Manager (PM) role.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze existing business and tax/accounting workflows, identify issues, and propose digital solutions for optimization.

Lead planning, evaluation, and implementation of digital tools, RPA, and Generative AI–driven solutions.

Support requirements gathering and definition, working closely with business and engineering teams.

Promote adoption and user engagement across internal staff through communication and workshops.

Collaborate with DX/IT members across business units to enhance ongoing digital initiatives.

Contribute to ongoing digital projects (from single large-scale to multiple mid/small-scale initiatives).

Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring effective communication and solution delivery.

Career Path

This is not a pure hands-on engineering role. Instead, you will collaborate with engineers and PMs to deliver DX projects. Over time, you will be expected to develop into a Business Analyst or Project Manager, supporting KPMG’s long-term digital strategy.

The team have around 20 people and the communication inside the team is English, but with the other departments will be in Japanese.

Requirements

Must-Have:

  • 3+ years of professional experience.

  • Proven experience in business process improvement using digital tools.

  • Experience in project management (leading or supporting).

  • Experience collaborating and negotiating with IT vendors.

  • Strong problem-solving, facilitation, and consultation skills (issue identification, analysis, resolution).

  • Solid understanding of in-house systems and ability to learn new tools quickly.

  • Excellent communication skills, able to bridge business and engineering perspectives.

  • Teamwork, leadership potential, self-starter mindset.

  • Business-level Japanese and ability to read/write technical documentation in English.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Knowledge/experience in tax or accounting.

  • Experience improving processes in tax/accounting operations.

  • Previous BA/requirements definition experience (especially for junior candidates).

  • Experience working in both English and Japanese business contexts.

  • Core hours: 9:00–17:00 (7 hours/day, 1 hour break).

  • Hybrid work style: 2–3 days remote per week possible (remote-focused style negotiable).

  • Overtime: 10–20 hours/month
