Company Profile

• Global SaaS company is seeking a Legal Lead for its legal operations in Japan. This is a strategic role for a qualified legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment and is passionate about enabling business through sound legal guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead legal review and negotiation of commercial contracts, including MSAs, NDAs, and licensing agreements
• Advise on regulatory compliance, risk management, and corporate governance
• Collaborate with global legal and business teams to align local practices with international standards
• Support employment law matters and internal policies
• Represent the company in legal matters and liaise with external counsel as needed

Qualifications

• Licensed Bengoshi in Japan
• Minimum 7 years of legal experience, preferably in a tech or multinational company
• Strong understanding of Japanese commercial and corporate law
• Fluency in Japanese and English is required
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
